An Innovation on the PC Case Design

The Phanteks EX5 MAX PC Case steps away from the box design of traditional PC cases. Instead, this chassis utilises a unique compartmentalised layout, with key components each housed in their own chambers.

Inside the main chamber of the EX5 you can install a motherboard and other key components, such as your CPU, RAM, and M.2 storage drives. Meanwhile, your GPU will sit in its own unit designed to accommodate modern full-sized graphics cards. At the base of the case is the third chamber, where an ATX PSU up to 210mm long and a 2.5” SSD and 3.5” HDD can be installed.

Superior Cooling, Fewer Fans

With your hardware separated from one another, cooling requirements are kept to a minimum with the Phanteks EX5 MAX PC Case. In fact, to keep a computer cool with this case, you'll only need four 120mm fans! The first fan is directly mounted behind the motherboard. This creates airflow directly at the back of the board, where it can then spread out to the sides. From here it will then travel out and around the edges of your motherboard, then exiting out of the front of the case. By doing this, the EX5 directly cools your CPU, VRMs, and RAM.

Secure Mounting for Large GPUs

A modern GPU can be comfortably mounted inside the Phanteks EX5 MAX PC Case. The innovative GPU chamber offers excellent support with three PCIe slots and a GPU clearance of 358mm. This accommodates most modern GPUs, even high-end models such as an NVIDIA 5090.

What's more, any graphics card installed inside the case will be held firm and kept safe from external damage. Your GPU is secured in place by a pair of mounting brackets, reducing the chance of jostling from the PCIe socket or sagging under its own weight. Furthermore, your graphics card will be protected from external damage from any knocks or bumps, by the robust shell of the GPU chamber. This has been constructed from aluminium and tempered glass to provide maximum protection.

Clean Looks and Vibrant Lighting

Alongside the unique look, the Phanteks EX5 MAX PC Case is an incredible option for building a super clean gaming PC. This unique layout is designed to conceal excess cables and pipes, reducing visible clutter. In fact, any pipes from an AIO can be routed along the top of the case to the radiator mount, where they are hidden by strategically positioned panels. Meanwhile, the rear offers ample space for cable management, while the PSU chamber can be used for storing excess wires.

Adding a splash of colour to your PC, this case features excellent support for ARGB lighting. Integrated into the chassis are a pair of lighting strips. The first is located at the base of the PSU chamber, while the second stretches the full length of the AIO chamber. Additionally, should your GPU feature RGB LEDs, these can be displayed through the tempered glass panel on the side of the chamber.
