The case itself has a robust steel frame and a fully removable RGB front cover with tempered glass- and steel side panels that swing outwards. The interior offers space for both dual- and even triple radiators, multiple drives and other powerful pieces of hardware.

LANCOOL II: MIDI-TOWER FOR AIR- AND WATER COOLING

Those who prefer for traditional air cooling will love this case, that's because the LANCOOL II offers users the option of installing up to a total of eight fans. The front supports up to three 120- or two 140 mm fans, with the roof supporting two fans up to 140 mm in diameter. Two 120 mm fans can be installed in the top of the PSU shroud and a 120 mm model can be attached to the rear wall of the case. Installed by Lian Li themselves, the case includes three 120 mm fans pre-installed: one on the front, one at the back and one in the roof. CPU coolers can be up to 176 mm tall.

Lian Li also took the installation of AiO- and custom water cooling solutions: the front allows for a 360 mm triple radiator or a 280 mm dual radiator. A removable slide-out bay makes installation much easier. This can be mounted in two differing ways, allowing up to 110 mm of space for radiators and fans or for increasing the space available to fans with a slimmer radiator from the front cover. The roof allows for a 240 mm radiator to be installed. Up to 65 mm of space (depth) is available.

STYLISH AND FUNCTIONAL DESIGN

The LANCOOL II has been designed from the ground up with an eye to cooling powerful hardware, offering multiple air inlets as a result: the otherwise smooth and sleek front cover is embedded with two 35 mm wide mesh strips along with an aluminium plaque that bears the manufacturer's name. The rear, roof and bottom of the case all include large air in- and outlets. The front and the roof are equipped with magnetic dust filters, and the dust filter underneath the power supply is located in a slide-out tray. As such all filters are removable and easily cleaned.

Yet the LANCOOL II has more to offer than just functionality, it is no slouch in the looks department either: the mesh openings in the side of the angular front help show off the integrated digitally addressable RGB lighting. Both side panels of the case consist of tempered glass. They are attached by means of hinges towards the rear of the case, and fold outwards.

Lian Li also designed the side doors to close in a smart manner: magnets! Both can be closed without the need for screws as a result. The design of the case means that users will enjoy being able to minimise the amount of unsightly wires and cables on show.

SPACE FOR COMPONENTS AND DRIVES

The completely black interior offers plenty of space for powerful hardware, for example for E-ATX motherboards up to a width of 280 millimeters and high-performance gaming graphics cards up to 384 millimeters in length. Two 2.5-inch SSDs can be mounted on individual mounts to the back of the motherboard tray. The right cover panel accommodates two more 2.5-inch drives on the inside. Under the power supply cover of the LANCOOL II lies a drive cage for three 3.5" or 2.5" drives. An ATX power supply unit measuring up to 210 millimeters will fit the case.

The I/O panel of the LANCOOL II provides two USB 3.0 type A connectors and a 4-pin 3.5 mm jack for headsets. In addition to power and reset buttons, the controls also include two buttons for controlling the RGB lighting. A USB-C port is also provided. The corresponding connection cable with a USB 3.1 Type C socket can be purchased separately here.

Attention! The manufacturer points out that 140 or 280 radiators must not be mounted towards the inside of the radiator holder under any circumstances, as this may otherwise be bent. Please follow the instructions in the manual.

Attention! The 3-pin RGB connection cable of the integrated RGB lighting may only be connected to a corresponding 3-pin header (5V) for digitally addressable RGB accessories.
